What is covered under a Third Party, Fire and Theft van insurance policy?

Third Party, Fire and Theft insurance is one step up from the Third Party Only van insurance policy described elsewhere in the guide. In addition to those things covered by the TPO policy, Third Party, Fire and Theft van insurance policies also cover the policyholder for theft, attempted theft and fire damage to his van.

Therefore, if you insure your van on a third party, fire and theft policy your vehicle will be repaired or replaced should it be stolen, suffers an attempted theft or is damaged or destroyed by fire. This fire cover will not include fire caused by electrical faults.

In the event of you having to claim for your vehicle under a third party, fire and theft van insurance policy then you will be required to pay the fire and theft excess to the insurer.
