Service Underwriting was formed in 1997 originally in Lloyds as a motor syndicate. Service Underwriting now acts as an Underwriting Agency with capacity provided by our Gibraltarian based Insurer,
Service Insurance Company Limited, which we formed at the end of 2004.
As a broker only Insurer, we provide products targeting the more specialist or higher risk end of the market. By concentrating on dealing with a limited volume of professional Brokers including Gladiator, our partnership approach means that we work closely with Brokers to ensure our products are carefully controlled from risk selection to pricing. As a result we consider ourselves specialists in our chosen fields and long term participants in markets which some view as high risk.
The Service Insurance Group has expanded in recent years,setting up 2 new Underwriting Agencies, Capricorn Underwriting Agency Ltd and XL Underwriting Ltd, which has enabled us to target new areas of the motor market. Premium income grows year on year and as relationships with our Brokers are strengthened, we plan further growth whilst ever mindful of the need to provide customers with service excellence.
