VAN BUYERS GUIDE

There are many different types of commercial vehicles on the road. When you are looking to buy one there are many considerations you will need to make. Your choice could have a huge bearing on how much you have to pay for your van insurance.

Before you make the decision to buy, consider the following:

Is the van the right size for my needs? A larger van may mean that you can potentially carry more things, but generally the larger the van, the larger the van insurance quote.

Do I need a specialist type of vehicle? Your work may require you to carry frozen food or transport large loads of sand or aggregate. If this is the case, then probably a standard van would not be the right choice for you. Use the guide that follows to try and make the correct choice, but remember that the more specialist the vehicle, the more specialist the van insurance policy you may need to cover it.

Once you have decided on the type of vehicle, your next consideration should be what make and model are you going to go for? The majority of car manufacturers in the UK also make commercial vehicles. Most of these vehicles can be grouped together by size and as a result you will find that van insurance quotes for similar size vehicles will generally be the same regardless of manufacturer.

Renault Van Insurance

Not wishing to fall behind it competitors, Renault have a full range of van sizes.

Based on the car of the same name, the Clio Campus van is the smallest of the range. The cabin is basically the same as the car model, and has good levels of storage space. Renault claim that the glove box for example is able to hold A4 documents. This should be useful for any tradesman wanting to transport paperwork or invoices. The security of the vehicle is highly impressive with many features to ensure that you can concentrate on the job in hand when you get to site.

The Kangoo is slightly larger and is touted as being Renault's best van for nipping around town. It has a practical load size and is designed to be easily loaded and unloaded. It benefits from a nimble engine and also contains the same security features as the clio van. From time to time Renault have been known for running promotions offering free sat nav equipment with the Kangoo.

To rival the Transit, Renault offer the Master and the Trafic. Both offer many different body styles and options to make them suitable for most users. As with the rest of the range, Renault have included impressive security features and have spent a lot of time designing a comfortable and practical cabin for the user.

Renault's range offers the customer a lot of flexibility in their decision making and as such you should be able to find a van that is the right size for you and not expensive to cover with a van insurance policy.
