As you'd expect from a large manufacturer like Peugeot, they have a full range of vans available for the consumer. Peugeot have taken the unusual step of having two small vans, namely the 207 and the Bipper. Unsurprisingly, the 207 van is based on the car of the same name and is very car like in it's comfort level. The load bay is relatively small, but this is a good mini van size vehicle. One little quirk with the 207 van is that it is only available in white!
The Bipper has been designed with agility in mind. It has a surprisingly large interior and can easily carry up to 610kg inside and a further 100kg on it's optional roof bars. The load area is a perfect cube making loading quite easy. The main strong point of this van though is it's city friendly design. It is compact, has a very tight turning circle and is fitted with parking sensors. This combined with it's nippy engine should make it a great vehicle for busier roads.
The next size up is the Partner. This van is touted by Peugeot as being highly versatile and adaptable to suit anyone who needs a mid sized van. Interesting innovations include an optional hinged roof panel that will allow the user to carry longer objects than other vans of a similar size, a fold flat passenger seat that provide a useful work table and countless storage spaces to keep everything tucked away.
Moving up to small transit size, Peugeot offer the Expert. This van offers the same payload size you would expect from most vehicles in this category, and as such, the designers have tried to cram in as many different options as possible to drag people away from the Ford. For example, there is a pneumatically controlled load sill that will ease the loading of the van, a multitude of parking sensors and a split rear view mirror to make town driving easier and an optional overhead storage tunnel to allow safe and easy storage of loads.
The largest vehicle Peugeot offer is the Boxer. It is available in sizes up to a gross weight of 3.5 ton. This is accomplished by offering models with high and semi high roofs and different wheel bases. Peugeot have also tried to make the vans easy to use having included the same level of refinement and design features you will find in it's smaller vans.
If you were to shop around for van insurance quotes for all of the Peugeot range, you would probably find that the Bipper and Partner would be slightly cheaper to insure than the larger vans in the range. This backs up our earlier advice that it is a good idea to choose the right size van for your needs so you don't pay more for your van insurance than you need to.
