VAN BUYERS GUIDE

There are many different types of commercial vehicles on the road. When you are looking to buy one there are many considerations you will need to make. Your choice could have a huge bearing on how much you have to pay for your van insurance.

Before you make the decision to buy, consider the following:

Is the van the right size for my needs? A larger van may mean that you can potentially carry more things, but generally the larger the van, the larger the van insurance quote.

Do I need a specialist type of vehicle? Your work may require you to carry frozen food or transport large loads of sand or aggregate. If this is the case, then probably a standard van would not be the right choice for you. Use the guide that follows to try and make the correct choice, but remember that the more specialist the vehicle, the more specialist the van insurance policy you may need to cover it.

Once you have decided on the type of vehicle, your next consideration should be what make and model are you going to go for? The majority of car manufacturers in the UK also make commercial vehicles. Most of these vehicles can be grouped together by size and as a result you will find that van insurance quotes for similar size vehicles will generally be the same regardless of manufacturer.

Nissan Van Insurance

Nissan has a range of Commercial Vehicles that should have something to suit everyone.

Their smallest van is the Kubistar. Despite it's small exterior size, the Kubistar is very roomy inside due to clever design. The load platform height has been lowered and the distance between the wheel arches has been widened, meaning that the load area is very large.

Moving up a size, Nissan offer the Primastar. As it is competing with the Transit Connect to win customers, Nissan has gone for a slightly different design approach with the Primastar. Nissan claims that their van has the most car-like cabin and provides a very comfortable and un-stressful drives. They have gone to town with little extras like huge door bins, cup holders and so on in order to help you keep your cabin as clean and tidy as possible. Combine this with it's large payload and Nissan have produced a vehicle to give the Ford a run for it's money.

Every plaudit that can be thrown at the Primastar can also be said of it's big brother, the Interstar. This van is available in many different wheel base lengths and roof heights and as such can provide a loading bay big enough for anyone.

Completing the Nissan small commercial range is the Navara. This Lifestyle pick-up is again a highly impressive addition to the Nissan range and provides the user with a very comfortable ride. The cabin is very comfortable for the driver and passengers due to the ample space provided together with the high level of equipment that has been added. Included in this list is zoned climate control, meaning that each area of the cab can be set at a different temperature thus aiding passenger comfort.

As there is a large range of vehicles produced by Nissan, it may be worth getting van insurance quotes before you buy your choice of vans. You may find that there is a noticeable price difference between all of the models.
